The Terrorism Act 2000 is a draconian piece of legislation designed to crush resistance to British imperialism. The first iteration of terrorism legislation, the 1974 PTA (Prevention of Terrorism Act) was introduced by a Labour government to repress support for the Irish liberation struggle. In 2000, these powers were expanded with the introduction of the Terrorism Act 2000 under another Labour government.

Today the TA 2000 is used to attack the Palestine solidarity movement, whether that be by proscribing Palestine Action, or hitting activists with section 12 and 13 offences, such as the SOAS2, Mo Chara of Kneecap or journalist SarahWilkinson.

It is vital that all who organise in defence of Palestine and against British state repression oppose the Terrorism Act in its entirety as an attack on anti-imperialist solidarity with all those who challenge the interests of the British state around the world.

Resistance is not terrorism!

Drop the charges now!
